Why should I detox?

So here is the thing-- the term 'detox' can be a bit misleading in nutrition. The body already has a wonderful and natural detox process. What we are doing is simplifying our diet for a couple of weeks to include lots of nutrient-dense foods that are easy to digest. We are also encouraging you to remove elements that might contribute to inflammation in the body such as alcohol, refined sugar, processed foods, recreational drugs, and trans fats. We do not believe it is starving you at all. You will feel fed and satisfied with this plan. The aim is just to let your body do its natural thing and boost it with lots of healthy and delicious foods.

Do I have to cook my own food?

The 2-week spring detox has been created to be completely DIY friendly and for all levels of cooking experience. All you have to do is sign up, download the PDF, and get started. All the info is included in the document and we will be there to help you along the way via email. For those of you who live in Orange County, California we have led detoxes that offer you the opportunity to buy the prepared meals. This is a great option if you do not have as much time to cook.

Is the detox vegan?

The spring detox is plant-based meaning that all the meals are prepared from vegetables, fruits, legumes, healthy grains, and vegetable-derived fats. Eating plant-based for a couple of weeks can be a great way to simplify your meals and lighten the load on digestion. Eating more plant-based is healthy for the body as well as the environment. For a lot of people, it is hard to learn how to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into their diet. This will give you a large number of recipes to choose from and bring into your everyday life once the detox is over.
